A friendly reminder from the Village of Clive that not everything belongs down our toilets and drains!
Please keep these items out of our sewer system:
- Wipes (even those labelled “flushable”)
- Paper towels, tissues and napkins
- Feminine hygiene products and diapers
- Cotton swabs, dental floss and hair
- Fats, oils and cooking grease
- Food scraps and coffee grounds
- Medications, paints and chemicals
Remember the 3 Ps: Only pee, poop and toilet paper belong in the toilet!
Flushing or pouring the wrong items down the drain can lead to clogged pipes, sewer backups and costly repairs.
