Clive is an aesthetically beautiful community of approximately 775 residents, maintaining steady growth. Located in Central Alberta, just 15 minutes east of Lacombe and only 30 minutes from Red Deer, we are an affordable and ideal spot for an enjoyable country living atmosphere with quick access to all amenities.
Clive itself hosts numerous services and facilities: Cafe, Banking services, Insurance Agency, Post office, Pharmacy, Grocery store, Motel, Sports Bar, Hair Salon, Thrift Store, Liquor Store, Public Library, FCSS services, Food Bank, Car Wash, numerous home-based businesses, Arena, Curling rink, skateboard park, soccer field, and baseball diamonds. LAWN CARE REMINDER
COMPOST BINS
Yellow compost bins are available in four locations throughout the Village for your yard waste materials. Please follow the guidelines shown in the poster below. Bins are removed the week of Thanksgiving.
Acceptable uses are:
- Grass clippings, leaves, and small branches from residential properties in Clive—whether collected by homeowners, tenants, or professional landscaping and lawn care companies working on those properties—can be disposed of in the yellow yard waste bins provided by the Village. These bins are intended for yard waste generated within Clive’s residential areas.
To help manage volume and ensure fair use of the service, home-based businesses located within the Village of Clive are permitted to dispose of yard trimmings from residential properties in the yellow compost bins. Commercial businesses or non residents who have yard waste from outside of the Village are not permitted to use these bins for disposal.
We appreciate everyone’s cooperation in keeping this service available and sustainable for Clive residents.
