WHAT’S HAPPENING AROUND CLIVE

The fairy doors have been put away as the winter season approaces. The doors will be set out again in late spring as the weather warms up.

Take a whimsical stroll through the Village of Clive and discover eight enchanting Fairy Doors hidden in unexpected places — from tree trunks to storefronts!

This beloved public art trail returns with 5 brand-new doors by Minuette V. La Montague of Casting Cats Art Studio, joining the 4 fan-favorites from 2024 by E. Webber Art. Each door is a tiny portal into the world of fairies who have “moved in” to Clive, sparking imagination and delight for all ages.

Wander the village, discover the new secret word, and win fun prizes!

Clive Road Program

COMPOST BINS

Yellow compost bins are available in four locations throughout the Village for your yard waste materials. Please follow the guidelines shown in the poster below. Bins are removed the week of Thanksgiving.

Acceptable uses are:

  • Grass clippings, leaves, and small branches from residential properties in Clive—whether collected by homeowners, tenants, or professional landscaping and lawn care companies working on those properties—can be disposed of in the yellow yard waste bins provided by the Village. These bins are intended for yard waste generated within Clive’s residential areas.

To help manage volume and ensure fair use of the service, home-based businesses located within the Village of Clive are permitted to dispose of yard trimmings from residential properties in the yellow compost bins. Commercial businesses or non residents who have yard waste from outside of the Village are not permitted to use these bins for disposal.

We appreciate everyone’s cooperation in keeping this service available and sustainable for Clive residents.

RECYCLING

Effective April 1st, the Village of Clive’s recycling program is now managed by Circular Materials, a national not-for-profit organization committed to building an efficient and effective recycling system in Alberta.

Click here to visit Circular Materials’ website.

Upcoming Recycling Dates:
August 12th and 26th
September 9th and 23rd
